We want to start the preseason out by introducing the gymnasts to Tiger fans. Every Monday throughout this upcoming year, we will uniquely get to know one of our gymnasts by asking them interesting questions about themselves.
By doing this, everyone can get to know them a little better-- not just as an athlete, but as a student, a family member and a friend. This week, the spotlight is on Laura Lane from Glen Allen, Va. Lane is currently a freshman at Auburn, and her major is undecided.

Getting my head stuck in a chair at a restaurant when I was three
4. What do you like to do in your spare time other than gymnastics?
Being with family and friends, hanging out, watching movies, being outdoors and going to the beach

It is a great gymnastics program with excellent academics. It also has a beautiful campus and it is in the South.
16. What is the best thing about being a gymnast at Auburn?
The honor that comes with being an student-athlete; I also love the team spirit
17. What is your favorite thing to do during practice?
Stick all of my routines
18. What is your pre-meet/pre-event ritual?
Mentally go through my routines, sing to myself and relax
19. What superstitions do you have?
I get ready the same way every time and I eat the same meal before every meet
20. Why should other gymnasts consider coming to Auburn?
We are like a family
21. What is your favorite place on campus and why?
The football stadium, because it gives off feelings of spirit, pride and exhilaration
22. What do you enjoy about the town of Auburn?
The friendliness of the people and the close community

When the eagle flies around the stadium

It promotes good values and it has a fun atmosphere
