AU Gym Moves to 11 In National Rankings

Auburn, Ala. - According the March 3, GymInfo Women's National Rankings, the Auburn gymnastics team moved to No. 11, passing conference opponent No. 12 Arkansas. The Tigers made the top 20 of all four events, and three of Auburn's gymnasts are ranked in the top 25 of the all-around. Lindsey Puckett, Julie Dwyer and A.J. Mills are all ranked in the top 25. Additionally, both Puckett and Dwyer are ranked in the top 25 of two events. Auburn is ranked as the No. 4 beam team after a season high 49.425 at Denver. After setting a school record 49.500 on vault at Denver, the Tigers moved to No. 10. Auburn is ranked No. 12 on floor exercise and No. 19 on uneven bars. Junior Puckett remains steady in the top 10 at No. 9, with an all-around average score of 39.169. She is also ranked No. 4 on beam and No. 19 on floor exercise. Dwyer is ranked at No. 16 in the all-around. She is ranked as the No. 2 gymnast in the nation on balance beam. After setting an Auburn record on vault at Denver with a 9.975, Dwyer is tied at No. 22 on vault. Mills, who won the all-around title against Illinois last Friday, is ranked at No. 22 in the all-around with a high score of 39.475, which she reached at Denver on Sunday. The Tigers will travel to Norman, Okla., this week to face No. 10 Oklahoma on Friday, March 7. Auburn will return to the Plains on March 14, for its final home meet of the season. The Tigers will host No. 14 Michigan State for "Senior Night." Auburn will be honoring its four seniors, Julie Dwyer, Kayla Gies, Aimee Goheen and Karmen Pinckney.
