AUBURN - The Auburn equestrian team has announced plans to host a winter clinic on Dec. 13 and 14 at the Auburn Equestrian Center. The cost of the camp will be $275. On Saturday, Dec. 13, the camp will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The two-day clinic is open to riders ages 8 and up with competition experience. For liability and safety reasons, participants in Hunt Seat should be competing comfortably at a 2-foot fence height minimum. For Western, they should have horse show experience which demonstrates their competence and safety for riding with others.

The clinic will be held at the Auburn Equestrian Center, home of the 2006 overall and the 2008 Hunt Seat national champions. The main focus of the clinic will be concentrated instruction in Hunt Seat Equitation over Fences and on the Flat, Horsemanship, Reining and multiple rides on Auburn equestrian team horses.

Instructors for the clinic will include: Auburn head coach Greg Williams, assistant Hunt Seat coach Lindsay Neubarth, assistant Western coach Lisa Helfer and several volunteer coaches from the Auburn equestrian team.

All those wanting to attend must email Carolyn Williams at carolyn031@centurytel.net to confirm availability.
