Arnika Edwards (formerly Clements) joined the Auburn program in 2007 as an administrative assistant after 15 years at Fairfield High School where she served in various capacities including athletics director, basketball coach and teacher.

Edwards coached former Tigers Carol Smith (2001-02) and Tiffany Presley (2000-2004), in addition to current junior DeWanna Bonner, at Fairfield.

Edwards has been the basketball coach at Fairfield for the past 13 years and during that time her teams have reached the regional tournament nine times and have made the Final Four on four occasions. During her span as head basketball coach, Edwards compiled a 266-89 record en route to being named Coach of the Year six times by various organizations. She has been both the athletics director and head basketball coach the past five seasons.

In addition to her role as head girls coach, Edwards served as athletics director for five years and a math teacher for 15 years at Fairfield. She also coordinated "The Complete Female Athlete" symposium, spoke at various conferences and was the facilitator for the NCAA Guidelines and Compliance Seminar for college bound athletes.

Edwards graduated from Alabama A&M in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics with a minor in physics. She earned her Master of Arts in Education with a focus in mathematics from the University of Montevallo in 1996.

Edwards is married to Ronald Edwards and is the mother of a 13-year-old daughter, Chanel.
