No. 11 Auburn Ties For 12th At The E-Z-Go

STATESBORO, Ga. - The No. 11 Auburn men's golf team (301-888) tied for 12th in the E-Z-Go Invitational at the par-72, 6,962-yard Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga.

Senior Jay Moseley (72-217) tied for 18th. Junior Glenn Northcutt (77-222) tied for 44th, senior Patton Kizzire (77-224) tied for 56th, senior Jaime Bowen 75-255) tied for 60th and senior Steven Groover (77-234) tied for 92nd.

"The game we brought over here just didn't match up very well," said head coach Mike Griffin. "To look at the scores of the other teams you just scratch your head. We just had a bad week."

No. 1 Alabama (284-849) claimed the team title followed by No. 10 Florida (287-856), No. 15 South Carolina (292-859), No. 13 Tennessee (294-865), Georgia Southern (281-870), No. 25 UAB (295-870), LSU (293-871), Kentucky (294-877), North Florida (287-881), No. 19 North Carolina (297-885), Augusta State (300-886), No. 11 Auburn, Notre Dame (297-888), No. 16 Michigan State (299-890), Minnesota (300-891), NC State (300-892), New Mexico (303-901) and Boston College (314-937).

South Carolina's George Bryan IV (73-66-69-208) claimed the individual title followed by Alabama's Michael Thompson (69-71-69-209) and Georgia Southern's Logan Blondell (73-69-68-210).
