No. 11 Auburn In Ninth Place After Second Round Play In The E-Z-Go Invitational

Statesboro, Ga. - The No. 11 Auburn men's golf team carded a 3-over 291 and is in ninth after the second round of the Chris Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational at the par-72, 6,962-yard Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga. Senior Jay Moseley (72-145) and junior Glenn Northcutt (73-145) are currently tied for 26th followed by senior Patton Kizzire (71-147) tied for 37th, senior Jamie Bowen (75-150) tied for 53rd and senior Steven Groover (78-157) tied for 92nd. "We still didn't play particularly well today," said head coach Mike Griffin. "We need to get ready for tomorrow the best we can. "I'm proud of Patton coming back and shooting 1-under today. Glenn brought it in today with a couple of late birdies which were real big for us." No. 1 Alabama (280-565) is in the lead, followed by No. 15 South Carolina (281-567), No. 10 Florida (279-569), No. 13 Tennessee (289-571), No. 25 UAB (289-575), LSU (291-578), Kentucky (289-583), Augusta State (291-586), No. 11 Auburn (291-587), No. 19 North Carolina (290-588), Georgia Southern (288-589), Notre Dame (294-591), No. 16 Michigan State (296-591), Minnesota (286-591), NC State (296-592), North Florida (291-594), New Mexico (294-598) and Boston College (305-623). South Carolina's George Bryan IV (66-139), Florida's Billy Horschel (67-139), Alabama's Matthew Swan (68-139), Florida's Manuel Villegas
(67-139) and UAB's Brad Smith (69-139) and Zach Sucher (71-139) are in a six-way tie for first place on the individual leader board.
