Auburn, Ala. - Auburn junior defensive lineman Sen'Derrick Marks will forgo his senior year and make himself eligible for the 2009 National Football League Draft.

A Mobile, Ala., native, Marks started in 37 contests, tallying 114 career tackles including 30.0 tackles for loss and 7.5 quarterback sacks.

In 2008, Marks started in 11 contests, finishing with 32 tackles, including 10.0 tackles for loss. The 6-1, 294-pound Marks was a Second-Team All-Southeastern Conference selection as voted on by league coaches. Marks' 10.0 tackles for loss was second on the Auburn team.

"I've had a great experience during the last four years at Auburn," Marks said. "However, I feel that it's in my best interest to enter my name into the 2009 NFL Draft. It's always been a dream of mine and I feel that I'm ready to advance to the next level.

"Auburn is, and always will be a special place to me. I want to thank all of my coaches at Auburn for giving me the opportunity to play college football and get an education. The Auburn family and my teammates have always been very supportive of my family and me, and for that I'm very appreciative."

As a freshman in 2006, Marks earned Coaches Freshman All-SEC team honors and First-Team Freshman All-America honors by Rivals.com after posting 38 stops with 11.0 TFL.

Marks helped Auburn's defense to a No. 15 ranking nationally in scoring defense (18.0 ppg) and No. 27 ranking in total defense (317.8 ypg).
