AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn football team continued its preparations for the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic by working out for approximately 90 minutes Wednesday at Pat Dye Field at Jordan-Hare Stadium. It marked the second practice of the week that was held in Jordan-Hare Stadium for the Tigers, who also worked out in the stadium on Monday.

Wednesday's workout was the last full practice for the Tigers (10-2 overall, 6-2 Southeastern Conference) before the team heads to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl to meet Nebraska (9-4 overall, 6-2 Big 12). Auburn will conduct a short workout Thursday at 9:15 a.m. before wrapping up for the holiday break.

"It's a great day, nice and cool," said head coach Tommy Tuberville. "We didn't do any special teams today because we have several guys sick with a flu bug and a few guys beat up. We had a good, physical practice as we continue to work on Nebraska. Today we finished up about 50 percent of our game plan and we'll continue that more when we get to Dallas."

Auburn spent much of Wednesday's practice on scout team preparation, and also worked in crossover drills with the first and second offenses and defenses squaring off against each other. The team also conducted individual and team drills.

After Thursday's practice, Auburn will be off until reporting in Dallas on Dec. 26. The Tigers will resume practice on the 27th and continue each day until the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic is played on Jan. 1.

The Tigers will meet Nebraska Jan. 1 in the 71st annual AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic. The game kicks off at 10:40 a.m. CT at Cotton Bowl Stadium and will air live on FOX.
