AUBURN - Auburn senior offensive guard Ben Grubbs has been named to the ESPN.com All-America Team, it was announced Friday.

The award marks the fourth All-American honor this year for Grubbs, a native of Eclectic, Ala.

Grubbs played in and started all 12 games for the Tigers this season. He has started the last 37 games for the Tigers, helping guide Auburn to a 32-5 record over that stretch. This season, Grubbs helped the Auburn offensive line pave the way for 10 100-yard rushing efforts by running backs and was the only Southeastern Conference player to earn Offensive Lineman of the Week twice. He earned the honor Sept. 11, two days after Auburn's 34-0 win over Mississippi State, and Nov. 9 after the Tigers defeated Arkansas State, 27-0. Grubbs finished the regular season with a 90 percent grade or better in eight of the team's first 11 games.

Also Friday, he was named a Pro Football Weekly All-America First Team honoree. He has also been named a second-team All-American by the Associated Press and was previously selected to the AP All-SEC First Team and Coaches All-SEC Second Team. In addition, Grubbs was also selected as a Rivals.com All-American.

The Tigers will meet Nebraska Jan. 1 in the 71st annual AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic. The game kicks off at 10:40 a.m. CT at Cotton Bowl Stadium and will air live on FOX.
