AUBURN - Auburn redshirt freshmen Sen'Derrick Marks and Aairon Savage have been recognized by Rivals.com as Freshman All-Americans, it was announced Thursday. Marks was named to the first team while Savage was selected to the second team.

Marks, who has started all 12 games this season at defensive tackle, earned the honor after finishing the regular season with 33 tackles, including 25 solo, with 8.5 tackles for loss, which places him second on the Tigers. His 3.5 sacks are also good for second on the team.

The Mobile, Ala., native has recovered three fumbles while forcing one of his own. Marks, who has played in 15 career games after seeing time in three in 2005, has also blocked a kick, posted two passes defended and one quarterback hurry.

Savage, meanwhile, finished the season ranked third on the team with 48 tackles after seeing action in 11 games. He has two sacks and three tackles for loss in addition to one interception. He has also forced one fumble.

Savage, an Albany, Ga., native, was named the Southeastern Conference's Freshman of the Week Oct. 30 after tying for the team lead with six tackles and intercepted a pass in a 23-17 win at Ole Miss.
