Auburn Football Practice Report
Sept. 19, 2007
Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn football team continued its game plan for New Mexico State Wednesday with a 19-period practice in shells at the Athletic Complex. The Tigers working against the scout team, spent time in cross over periods and also practiced on special teams and the kicking game. "We've had a couple of good practices," head coach Tommy Tuberville said. "We're trying to prepare in a short period of time for the no-huddle offense that they run, which is pretty difficult. Our guys are having a lot of fun and the weather is helping a little bit." Auburn (1-2) will face a New Mexico State (2-1) squad that is fifth nationally in passing (398.7 ypg) and 11th nationally in total offense (523.3 ypg). "I think they're excited about playing this week against a different offense and on defense," Tuberville said. "Offensively we're just looking forward to trying to improve on what we've done. We've had a good two days. Now we have to finish up the game plan tomorrow." Individual tickets to the New Mexico State game are currently available for $30 apiece.
