Auburn Football Practice Report
Aug. 11, 2006 AUBURN - The Auburn football team enjoyed a short burst of rain near the end of its hour and a half long practice as they worked out in full pads Friday morning at the Intramural Fields.
Practice began with punt returns and coverage before splitting up into individual drills. The squad came back together for team work and ended the day practicing field goals.
"It was a good practice today," head coach Tommy Tuberville said. "We got a few people banged up as usual, but that is typical with two-a-days. We have a lot happening tomorrow. We are cancelling our scrimmage until a date that is unknown. We will adjust practice time tomorrow since we aren't scrimmaging, but it will be about what we did today. But, enthusiasm is good and guys are practicing hard."
Friday's practice marked the 11th workout of the Tigers' preseason. Auburn will hold two more practices over the weekend at the Intramural Fields, starting at 9 a.m. Saturday and 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Both practices are open to the public.
