Alaska Baseball League
Ryan Jenkins is hitting .313 with three doubles and six RBI as the Anchorage Bucs are 11-9 on the year, 5-6 in league play.
Cape Cod League
Joseph Sanders is hitting .333 on the summer with a team-best 13 runs scored, five doubles, three homers and 10 RBI for the Harwich Mariners ... Kevin Patterson is keeping his bat hot as he checks in with a .344 batting average this week (10th in the league) while teammate Mike Bianucci dropped down to .277 for Cotuit ... The duo has driven in a combined 31 runs, the most of any two teammates at the Cape this summer, and Bianucci has smacked a Cape-best four homers and scored 15 runs, second-most this summer so far ... Brian Fletcher is hitless in just four at bats for Falmouth, having joined the team following a tryout for the USA Baseball National Team ... Harwich is 9-5 and currently leads the Eastern Division while Cotuit is leading the West at 9-6 ... Falmouth is 7-7, fourth in the West.
Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League
Ben Jones is hitting .244 for the Big Train, which is dominating the Cal Ripken League this summer with a 16-5 mark through Wednesday's games ... In 41 Abs, Jones has scored nine runs with three doubles, a triple and a homer.
Coastal Plain League
The Coastal Plain League moved onto the second half of the season this week ... The Peninsula Pilots, where Chezz McCann has been playing, went 14-14 in the first half to finish third in the North Division ... One game into the second half, McCann has a .330 batting average (all games included) with six doubles, a homer and 11 RBI and is also 6-for-9 in stolen bases.
Florida Collegiate League
Tony Caldwell is hitting .268 for the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs with a team-best 12 RBI, smoking six doubles and two triples, both of which are team-bests ... His batting average ranks 10th in the league while his six doubles are second and his 12 RBI are fifth ... Winter Park is in fifth place at 9-11.
Clark Griffin League
Fairfax has gone 3-3 over the past week and now stands at 13-7 overall ... Rus Harper picked up his second win of the year on Friday, throwing two innings of relief and striking out four ... On the year, Harper is 2-1 with a 6.75 ERA in 16.0 innings, fanning 17 ... Chris O'Neil saw action in just one game over the week and has moved his ERA to 5.40 in 10.0 innings, all in relief.
New England Collegiate League
David Cunningham has made just two plate appearances since joining the Newport Gulls last weekend ... The Gulls are currently 8-8, tied for the Southern Division lead.
Valley League
Jon Luke Jacobs got good news on Tuesday as he was named to the North All-Star roster for the Valley League ... Jacobs is a reliever for Farquier and has a miniscule 0.90 ERA in 20.0 innings, striking out 32 while allowing just 13 hits, recording a 3-1 record to date ... Justin Jones has joined Jacobs in Farquier and has played in two games while Austin Hubbard as also joined the team and has thrown 4.0 innings ... Trent Mummey and Bradley Hendrix have both joined the Winchester squad ... Mummey has played in just one game thus far, going 1-for-4 while Hendrix has made just one 2.0 inning appearance ... Bradley Ray, who has been with Front Royal all year, is hitting .259 with 10 runs scored and eight RBI ... Farquier is 15-9, Winchester is 15-11 and Front Royal is 9-17 with all three teams residing in the North Division.
Sunbelt League
Ty Kelley went four innings on Monday, allowing a run on five hits and a walk, striking out three ... On the year, Kelley is 2-1 with a save in four appearances (12 innings).
USA Baseball
The National Team has completed its' games on US soil and now heads to The Netherlands for a week of games ... Over the last week the team swept its six-game series with Chinese Taipei as Hunter Morris went 5-for-11 with four RBI and three runs scored.
