* Auburn is making a return to the postseason after a one-year hiatus.
*The Tigers have traveled to Tallahassee five times for NCAA Regionals (1976, 1989, 1997, 1998, 2001).
*Auburn is 14-7 in postseason games in Tallahassee, winning the regional there in 1976 and 1997.
*The Tigers are 34-25 all-time in NCAA Regional play.
*The Tigers have been the #2 seed in six of their last seven regional appearances and have been a #2 seed seven times. AU is 17-10 as a #2 seed. The Tigers were previously a #2 seed in 1994, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002.. Auburn advanced to the College World Series as a second seed in 1994 and 1997 and won the 1999 Auburn Regional as a #2 seed. The last time AU was a #2 seed was 2002 in Tuscaloosa, Ala., when AU went 0-2.
*Auburn's last regional appearance was in 2003 when Auburn finished second in the Auburn Regional. Auburn defeated Princeton, 5-2, in the opener and before falling to Ohio State, 6-2, in its second game.
