Mark Fuller To Leave Auburn Baseball Program At End Of Season May 18, 2004
AUBURN - Auburn assistant baseball coach Mark Fuller will leave the program to pursue other opportunities at the conclusion of the 2004 season announced Tigers' head coach Steve Renfroe Tuesday. "We hate to see Mark leave," Renfroe said. "We appreciate everything Mark has done for this program over the last four seasons. Mark is a true Auburn man and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors." A former pitcher at Auburn, Fuller has served as the Tigers' pitching coach since the 2001 season. The 1992 Auburn graduate was an assistant coach at North Carolina State from 1998-2000 prior to his arrival in 2001. "I have decided that it is time for me to pursue other opportunities that will allow me to spend more time with my wife and two sons," said Fuller. "I want to thank coach Renfroe for the opportunity during the past four years to coach at my alma mater. It has been a great experience." Auburn will play Mercer tonight at 6 p.m. at Plainsman Park in its final home game of the season.
