Auburn Cross Country Wraps Up Competition At SEC Championships

BATON ROUGE, La. - The Auburn women's cross country team finished in 10 place (251 points), while the men finished in 11th (301 points) at the SEC Championships at Highland Road Park in Baton Rouge on Saturday morning. The 11th place finish for the men snapped a streak of two-straight top-five finishes at the conference meet. On the women's side, the Tigers were led by freshmen Sabrina Fischer (21:50.12) and Laurel Pritchard (21:50.94), who finished 41st and 42nd, respectively. Junior Megan Karl placed 63rd (22:34.60), while freshman Katelyn Simpson came in 67th (22:45.34). Rounding out the scoring for AU was junior Jessica Smith (23:08.90), who placed 74th.
