A 2007 graduate of Hickory Grove Baptist Christian School... Won the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association title in the 200 freestyle and placed second in the 100 backstroke... Named all-state by the Charlotte Observer... Also swam for the Mecklenburg Aquatic Club under head coach Jay Benner... Had a strong 2007 U.S. Junior Nationals, finishing sixth in the 100 freestyle (51.78)... Also posted a seventh place finish in the 100 backstroke (58.51) and 16th in the 200 backstroke...
