Competed at the 2008 United States Olympic Trails in the 200m free, 100m back, 200 back and 100 fly, finishing 86th in the 200m free (2:04.10), 53rd in the 100m back (1:05.53), 45th in the 200 back (2:16.38) and 81st in the 100m fly (1:02.04)... At NCAAs, Marik earned three All-America honors in the 400 free relay, 800 free relay and 400 medley relay, along with two honorable mention honors in the 100 back and 200 back... Swam the backstroke leg (53.56) on the runner-up 400 medley relay team that posted a time of 3:32.84... Also swam the second leg (1:48.24) on the eighth-place 800 free relay (7:06.71), and the third leg (49.20) in the prelims of the 400 free relay that finished fourth in the finals... Individually, Marik swam to a ninth-place finish in the 100 back (53.31) and a 13th-place finish in the 200 back (1:55.78)... Her time of 53.31 in the 100 back swam at NCAA's ranks fifth all-time at Auburn, while her time of 1:46.50 in the 200 free ranks eighth all-time... At the SEC Championships, Marik swam the third leg (22.70) on the SEC Champion 800 free relay that set a new American record with a time of 6:57.28... Also swam the second leg (48.89) on the SEC Champion 400 free relay... Individually at SEC's, Marik qualified for two "A" finals in the 100 back and 200 back, swimming to a third-place finish in the 200 back (1:54.17), a fourth-place finish in the 100 back (53.49) and a 12th-place finish in the 100 fly (54.44)... Her time of 1:54.17 in the 200 back at SEC's ranks third all-time at Auburn... SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Freshman Season (2006-07)
Competed in the 50m free, 100m back, 200m back and the 100m fly at the U.S. Senior National Championships... Earned four All-America honors as a freshman at the NCAA Championships... Finished eighth in the 100 back (53.82) and 200 back (1:56.69)... Also swam on the fourth-place 200 and 400 free relay teams... Swam the third leg on the 200 free relay team with a 22.39 split while posting a 48.66 split on the 400 free relay team, also on the third leg...
