To Auburn Tiger Fans:

The Auburn University Athletics Department has established a new policy regarding autograph requests beginning fall 2005. In accordance with NCAA rules and in order to adhere to our highest priority, protecting our student-athletes' eligibility, AU Athletics will no longer secure requests for student-athletes' autographs for individuals' personal use. NCAA bylaws prohibit the use of a student-athlete's photograph and/or autograph on any commercial item for commercial use i.e. photographs, jerseys, balls, helmets, etc. The sale of such items on internet auction sites such as eBay constitutes a violation of NCAA rules and has serious ramifications for our student-athletes. The job of AU Athletics is to insure that our student-athletes' collegiate eligibility is not jeopardized. We ask for your help in protecting our student-athletes. If you are seeking an autograph item for a charitable, educational, or institutional organization, please read the newly implemented autograph policy and procedures below. Thank you for your understanding and support.

* The deadline for all 2005 autograph requests is December 1. There will be a No Signing Period from December 1 to February 1. Any requests received after the December 1 deadline will be filled after the No Signing Period has expired.
