Travis enters his fourth year working with the Auburn University Sports Medicine staff and his initial season working with the Auburn football. His first two years on the plains were spent serving as the assistant athletic trainer with the AU baseball team. A native of Rock Hill, S.C. Johnston earned his Bachelors of Science in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management with a Concentration on Health and Fitness with a Minor in Business Administration from Clemson University in 2001. He received his Masters of Education in Higher Administration Education and a Minor in Sport Management from Auburn University in 2005. While completing his masters' work at Auburn, Johnston also spent time at Presbyterian College where he was Associate Head Athletic Trainer from January to August of 2005. He had previously spent at year at PC as a post-graduate intern. Johnston is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Southeastern Athletic Trainers' Association and the Alabama Athletic Trainers' Association. Travis currently resides in Auburn. |
