18 Auburn Student-Athletes Graduate In 2007 Fall Term

Auburn, Ala. -

A total of 18 Auburn student-athletes graduated as part of the Auburn University Fall 2007 graduating class on Monday. The graduates represent nine of Auburn's sport programs, including five from women's swimming and diving, four from football, two each from baseball and softball, and one from women's basketball, soccer, men's swimming and diving, men's tennis and volleyball.

"We're extremely proud of the accomplishments of our fall graduates," Virgil Starks, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student Services said. "This graduating class is a diverse group of individuals that have excelled at a high level both in the classroom and on the playing field. To have half of the 18 graduates earn SEC Academic Honor Roll distinctions and have an Olympian and six All-Americans, is truly remarkable."

Among the 18 graduates include six All-Americans, one Olympian, two SEC Champions, one Academic All-American and nine SEC Academic Honor Roll recipients. The graduates collectively hail from eight states and five countries.
