Hill, McGlynn Join Auburn Athletics Department Staff

AUBURN, Ala. - Bernard Hill and Rich McGlynn have joined the Auburn Athletics Department as Associate Athletic Directors for Compliance announced Athletic Director Jay Jacobs Tuesday. "We're very excited about the addition of Bernard and Rich to our staff," Jacobs said. "Each brings a skill set that will be invaluable to our compliance efforts. We take compliance of NCAA and SEC rules very seriously and both individuals have a wealth of experience that will help Auburn regulate and follow those rules." Hill, who earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Auburn, most recently served as an Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at Stetson University in DeLand, Fla., since 2001. At Auburn, Hill received a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Promotions in 1997 and a Master of Education in Administration of Higher Education in 2000. Hill was a compliance assistant and event management intern at Auburn from 1997-2001. A native of Roanoke, Ala., Hill was a member of the Auburn football team and also coached high school football at Handley High School in Roanoke.
McGlynn comes to Auburn from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) where he was employed since 2001. Most recently, McGlynn served as the Associate Director of Membership Services. He previously was an Assistant Director of Membership Services and a Student-Athlete Reinstatement Representative within the Enforcement Services arm of the NCAA. Prior to his work at the NCAA, McGlynn was the Commissioner of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference from 2000-01 and was a legal specialist for the New Jersey General Assembly Majority Office (2000-01) and Office of Counsel to the Governor of the State of New Jersey (1999-00). A native of Point Pleasant Beach, N.J., McGlynn graduated from Florida Southern in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received his Juris Doctorate from the Seton Hall University School of Law in 1999. |
